VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 Architect Exam (2V0-13.24) Exam Experience
After completing the new VCP VCF Administrator Exam in early November I decided to have a go at the Architect equivalent...
The exam is a 60-question multiple choice in a limited time of 135mins.
The links below helped me in preparation, although as the VCF Admin and Architect exams had only just been released at the time of writing there wasn't a huge amount of information available online.
- Blueprint for the exam from Broadcom https://docs.broadcom.com/doc/vmware-vcf-architect-2V0-1324-exam-preparation-guide
- Not directly link to this exam but having sat the VCAP Design Exam previously I also went through that exam blueprint again https://docs.broadcom.com/doc/vmw-VCAP-DCV-design-certification-preparation-guide
- I would recommend getting access to the VMware vSphere: Design [V8] training course if at all possible, having gone through this previously I revisited the course notes to refresh my memory on some of the specifics around functional and non-functional requirements, disaster recovery scenarios and the storage requirements and restrictions when deploying VCF and additional Workload domains.
- Lastly the latest VCF Design Guide can be found here https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/vmware-cis/vcf/vcf-5-2-and-earlier/5-2/vcf-design-5-2.html
The Exam itself I thought was quite challenging, it had a feel of the VCAP Design Exam about it but with maybe slightly shorter scenarios, and some quicker single answer questions mixed in, the broad scope of the full VCF stack definitely allows for additional complexity to be added, expect questions involving everything from vSphere and SDDC manager to Tanzu and Aria suite lifecycle manager.
As always for me on the design style exams it's the length of some of the questions and the re-reading that eats into the time, I managed to get all the questions answered on this one with approximately 15 mins to spare.
My preferred approach to sitting these type of exams now involves going through the questions in order and trying to not revisit, but also keeping one eye on the clock to make sure I do not get hung up on any one particular question, after 3-4 mins on a question or one where im not 100% sure on my answer, I mark it and move on. This normally means I make it to the end of the exam with 10-15 questions I need to review, time permitting I will then repass through the marked set before submitting.
I hope this provides some insight into what is needed to pass the VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 Architect Exam (2V0-13.24) Exam
As Always thank you for reading and I hope this helped !
